An opportunity arose in helping Heritage Aviation meet its environmental sustainability strategy. The original Army National Guard Hangar from the 1950’s was stripped down to its steel and concrete skeleton with the hopes of rebuilding a sustainable, high performance structure, the Fixed Base Operator (FBO). CEO, Chris Hill, was concerned with how a business in the aviation industry could possibly be ‘green’ but the company has made it part of their corporate policy to meet or exceed all environmental regulatory requirements. Careful consideration had to be taken when choosing a supplier for building materials.
